The Performance Club is a once-monthly small group masterclass held the first Monday of each month from 7:30pm-8:15pm in our Recital Room. The masterclass is the perfect opportunity for students to develop proper performance techniques, conquer performance anxiety and reinforce playing techniques in a non-threatening/low-stress atmosphere. The Masterclass is run by Music Academy faculty and is limited to the first 10 students registering each month (using the registration form below).
There is no charge for current Music Academy students to participate in the Performance Club. Students who are not currently enrolled in classes at the Music Academy are welcome to join for a $20 drop-in fee.
Wondering how the Performance Masterclass will be structured?…
Every student participating will prepare a piece ahead of time and perform it for the other students and instructor (sorry, no family or friends are allowed as this is a closed Masterclass). After each student performance everyone will analyze the performance and offer some feedback with the potential for the student to perform the piece again taking the feedback into account. Our instructor will ensure that feedback is positive and constructive.
